My husband and I have a dear friend who is 93 years old. She has no children and her husband died several years ago. I take her home cooked meals enough home cooked meals to last her for the week. I want her to have a balanced meal each day. We used to take her to church each week but she has health problems and is no longer able to go. I call her every day to make sure she is ok. She lives about 10 miles away from our home. We try to help her in any way we can. She doesn’t have very much money so besides food we give her clothing also. She is a very dear lady and my husband and I tell her we have adopted her as our second grandma since we have lost our own parents and grandparents. We drive 25 miles to shop at Ruler Foods, so we can’t wait to surprise her with a bag of unexpected treats beyond her regular meals!
